I love a piano, I love a piano
I love to hear somebody play
Upon a piano, a grand piano
It simply carries me away

     -Irving Berlin

I started learning to play the piano when I was five, and since then have enjoyed a lifetime journey filled with love of music.  It brings me great joy to be able to pass that gift on.   I enjoy all kinds of music.   Classical music is my foundation, but I  enjoy jazz, gospel, ragtime, popular, broadway, folk, and more.   Besides the piano, I play the organ, and can teach that as well.   Over the years, I've also enjoyed learning to play guitar, harp, flute and bassoon.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in piano pedagogy, and have taught students now for 40+ years.  I am active in local music clubs. Besides teaching privately, I have worked as an accompanist for High School choirs, church choirs, and soloists.

I raised five children, who were excellent piano students as well.  I have 18+ grandchildren now.  I have enjoyed living and traveling in many parts of this country and the world.   Besides traveling, and family time, I enjoy reading, puzzles, and all kinds of needle crafts.
